Midtown, especially where it meets Central Park, is becoming one of the most closely watched markets in the world. It’s especially wonderful for me, as I have lived in this neighborhood since 1999. The spectacular 57th Street renaissance is attracting an unprecedented concentration of wealth to the many luxurious new developments in the area, and the transformation of the neighborhood has triggered a surge in values of even the most modest apartments. Every indication is that this trend will continue for many years to come, so there are still untapped opportunities to be had, if one knows where to look.
