Each issue, Metropolitan Magazine spotlights a development outside of Manhattan to bring awareness to what’s hot in other luxury communities across the Tri-State area.
Long Island’s only luxury condominium
The Regency At Lawrence is this issue’s feature development, care of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing; Metropolitan talks to Regency sales director Danielle Kirk.
The Regency At Lawrence is the only luxury condominium on Long island. Talk about some of the lifestyle advantages that come along with purchasing a unit in this building.
The Regency is the only luxury condominium on LI. It’s like taking a luxury doorman building in NYC and transplanting it to Lawrence with better amenities. These include 24-hour valet parking, concierge and doorman service, wine cellar, all-season pool, fitness center, banquet hall, storage unit, and courtyard. The banquet hall holds 140 people for a sit down catered affair and up to 200 people for a cocktail party. There’s no additional rental fee to owners to have an event in this space, nor is there any extra charge for valet parking for guests. Owners simply sign up the date and time with conceirge and can have an event in the banquet hall or wine cellar (up to 70 people.)
From a value perspective, how does The Regency compare to the average new development in NYC?
The value is unmatched, as new luxury developments in NYC average $1,500 sq ft and The Regency averages $625 sq ft with many more amenities than the average building in NYC, ie wine cellar, banquet hall, on-site storage unit and all-season pool.
Are the units customizable at all?
All floor plans are customizable. Plus, buyers have the ability to combine two or three adjacent units and create one large home at no extra cost. The developer is still on site and we have an architect on staff so buyers can design a floor plan for their exact needs.
Talk about Lawrence as a commuter destination and if you find many buyers put an emphasis on the convenience of easy airport access. The business traveler who craves a suburb outlet I imagine would find this unique.
The Regency is ten minutes to JFK; eight minutes to the beach; and very close to the LIRR, shops and restaurants of Lawrence. Commuting to NYC takes 35 minutes – this is a very convenient location for business travelers and anyone looking for the maintenance-free luxury lifestyle of NYC with the tranquility of the suburbs.
How is the soundproofing in the structure? With close proximity to the airport, I imagine this is a question you get a lot. Buyers don’t need to be concerned about exterior noise or disturbance from adjacent units, as each unit is sound proof.
